We have good news today! Space Engineers for MacBook is now available so you can play this voxel-based sandbox game on all Macintosh computers. This game developed and also published by Keen Software House is set in space and on planets. Sounds interesting, right?
When you begin playing Space Engineers for MacBook, you select or join a world with specific settings like the number of asteroids and the available starting equipment. There are advanced options available for the moment you create or edit a world. This includes the way you interact with the world and also how the worlds will appear. Once you are in-game, you are given control of a single astronaut as well as a set of tools comprising a drill, a welder and a grinder, too. To begin construction, you have to choose any block from the Engineer’s inventory and placing it anywhere in open space in order to create a new voxel grid.
In Space Engineers, each block is going to take up a different amount of space. Also it can serve a structural, functional, interactive and/or aesthetic purpose. There are three types of structures available which are small ships, large ships and stations. You are able to toggle between placing small and large block sizes. If you place a small variant of a block is going to create a small ship. As you place a large variant is going to create a large ship. Keep in mind if a large block is placed in a way that it intersects terrain voxels, a station is created instead.
