The story of the game takes place in a fictional land of Lemuria. There a child called Aurora wakes up after she died from an unknown illness. Her task is to bring back the sun, the moon and even the stars to return home. All of them are held captive by the Queen of the Night.
Let’s tell you more about Child of Light story. We have to mention Aurora is the daughter of a duke in late 19th century Austria. Unexpectedly one night she takes ill and it seems she dies in her sleep. But she is not really dead, she wakes up in a magic land of Lemuria. From this point, the game follows the child adventure while Aurora uncovers the Dark Queen wish to usurp the kingdom’s rightful rulers and even claim power for herself. On her journey, Aurora meets a firefly known as Igniculus and he leads her to a sword in order to arm herself. Along with that, he shows her a chamber where the Lady of the Forest is trapped.
In Child of Light for macOS, you can control up to two characters during battle and also swap these two with waiting characters. You have to know that up to three enemies can appear during a battle so you have to be careful. When you approach an enemy from behind, the battle becomes a ”Surprise Strike” and it gives you an advantage.
