Today we present you an episodic first-person puzzle action survival horror video game. It is called Bendy and the Ink Machine for MacBook and it is developed and published by Kindly Beast. The story is following Henry Stein, a retired animator. He returns to his old animation studio called Joey Drew Studios from the 1930s after an invitation from Joey Drew, an old employer of him. Henry discovers a nightmare of cartoon characters seemingly brought to life by the titular Ink Machine. Sounds interesting, right?
Bendy and the Ink Machine for MacBook features a mixture of solving puzzles, environment exploration and combat to aid Henry on his journey through the darkened halls of Joey Drew Studios. You explore the environment through a first-person view and have limited physical actions like running and jumping. There are several items you can collect but some require you to perform tasks before proceeding. In order to restore Henry’s health in case he is injured, you can collect cans of bacon soup.
In Bendy and the Ink Machine, combat is mostly focused around different melee-based weapons like an ax, pipe, plunger, or scythe. You can use also long-range weapons like tommy gun or bacon soup cans. We have to say in-game enemies have different strength levels as well as resilience to damage. So you are forced to be tactical about keeping out of reach and striking when it is necessary. If you fail, your character will die. Another important thing is Henry can retreat inside Little Miracle Stations when enemies are close. While playing, you can find several audio logs that give you more details about the story of the game. This involves the fate of the studio and its employees, too.
